The furniture/plant hybrid products by Japanese company Mindscape it's a great idea that combines interesting plant shapes with a place to sit and contemplate the garden. In conclustion these stools and couches look very interesting, especially if you like to rest on a piece fresh green grass.

The world famous Egg chair designed by Danish Architect Arne Jacobsen in 1958 and manufactured by Fritz Hansen will launch its 50th Anniversary in 2008 with 999 limited edition designs. The limited edition collection will for the first time include chocolate brown suede on the back and dark chocolate brown leather on the front. The sophisticated combination of leather and suede is perfectly complimented with a base in solid bronze; hand polished to create a unique finish. The bronze base will darken in appearance, becoming more beautiful over time. Each of the 999 Eggs will be individually engraved, under the seat cushion, with a unique number and a brief text about the history and origin of the Egg chair design. A special, limited edition 50th anniversary book will also accompany the chair.

面白い使い方のアイデアが出ているので、時々読んでいます。
滑り止めシートで思い出したのですが、子供が小さいときに、古いテーブルクロス（撥水加工がされているもの）を、おねしょシートとして使ったのですが、見た目も使い勝手も良かったです
もうひとつは、プロの作家さんの個人Webサイト、「100 materials 」。
100均ショップなどで買った雑貨にひと手間加えるアイデアを、実例の写真つきで紹介しています。
といった素晴らしいアイデアに、読むたびに脱帽しております
どちらも、知恵で暮らしをよくする心意気が伝わってきて、暮らしの参考になるだけでなく、読んでいて元気をもらえるWebサイトです。
The first big design fair of the year opens next Monday. IMM Cologne opens January 14th, but we have some preview pictures of some of the featured designs. Above we have the Dining Desk by Draenert, the Pastille Chair and Stool by Leoloux and the Mosspink Sofa for Brühl & Sippold. The S-Table is by MDF Italia, the Whale Chair by Yos Theosabrata for Die Schütz Flechtwelt and the Tetra Chair by Greek studio Varangis Avepe. After the jump there are pictures of the Break stackable chair by Nathan Yong for Air Division, the Table Chair for Neue Wiener Werkstätte and the Optimist Stool by Klaus Hokamp, as well as the Forest Chairs by Weishäupl Möbelwerkstätten and the Chillap Armchair for Jori NV.

Swedx is a Swedish company who specialise in what they term as 'unique products of natural character'. The concept of SWEDX is to create and develop unique products of natural character, optimal design and features. This is achieved by combining quality, performance, ergonomics and design. In the news section appears that they want to release a new range of HD ready LCD television entertainment systems which build upon their current range of wood finished LCD HD televisions. If you are interested in this new LCD HDTV I'm sad to announce that any details concerning the new range of LCD HDTV systems is virtually non-existent at the time of writing, with only a series of product images are available on their website for now. The NNI HAUS is designed by Akitoshi Ukai (AUAU) and is located in Kiyosu, Japan . This residence is built in the northwest of a block. It is the house of an L type plan built to the minimum site. A white wall makes a cut in one sheet of paper, and is bent and made according to the form of a block. Complicated form is produced though it is a simple technique in doing so. If this residence is seen walking along outside, the form is changed slowly. A great example of modern architecture, but as I can see from the picture there is only a small windows, so I think is quite dark inside, and the white color might look good, but only a while because the pollution will make it darker very quickly.

この冬、奮発して、3万6000円の空気清浄機を買いました
「ＭＡＧＩＣＢＡＬＬ 」という製品で、神田うのちゃんが結婚式の引き出物にしたことで一躍有名になりました。
製品のコンセプトは「水で空気を洗う」
ボウリングの球みたいな大きさの空気清浄機で、半球の蓋をあけて、水を入れて専用の洗剤みたいなもの（「ソリューション」と書かれています）を入れて使います。
使ってみると、部屋の空気が澄んでいて、適度な湿度が保たれる感じがします。
離れた部屋で洗濯機が動いているような音はしますが、とにかくデザインが良いので良しとしています
Thanks to everyone who made it to this week's edition of PauseTalk (Vol. 17), and for making it such an engaging evening. It was a great group, and I also thank Yuka Yamaguchi for coming back to the cafe to participate and talk about her works and her exhibition that is currently on show at the cafe. I also thank Bianca and her wonderful "Save PauseTalk" chocolates — worry not, we're here to stay.
A few changes to note though. From this month on, things will kick off at 20:00. Also, I welcome anyone who can't make it for the main part but who would still like to drop by for drinks and chatting later. Even though we usually stop the "official" proceedings at around 21:00-30, the majority usually stay much later.
Also, since many have expressed the desire to have dinner together before the start, and with Ikebukuro having so many great ramen shops, we're starting a ramen meetup — maybe a RamenTalk? — from next month. We meet in front of the cafe at 19:00.

I strolled into my office this morning to find it filled with over 150 cups of Starbucks, and this note (pictured above) on my door.
My team is so great. Not only is this very funny. But my office smells fantastic. A big thanks to Lee and Tom, and everyone involved. Oh, and thanks to the folks at my local Starbucks for donating the cups. Seriously now… where's all my stuff?
While I was writing this, I got a call from my friend Kevin who sings me an amazing arrangement of Happy Birthday with the guys from Four For A Dollar. Nice harmonies guys. And thank you!
